We have been to this cabin several times now, and will keep coming back. We love it so much. It's so beautiful, inside and out. Chris is always great to communicate with, and the cabin is always stocked with necessities. Our favorite cabin!
We have stayed at a lot of Airbnb, most can be a little disappointing when they don’t quite live up to their photos. This cabin was the opposite of that. The photos don’t do it justice. This place was amazing. Beautiful setting, gorgeous cabin, amazing decor and a great mix of modern conveniences with old lodge vibes.
This is a beautiful authentic log house on 30 acres of aspen and spruce. The last house on the road at 9,000 ft you couldn’t ask for a more peaceful setting. The drive into town never got old, the mountains are gorgeous. The caretaker was always there for us, but didn’t intrude. I can’t say enough about how unique and lovely the house and setting are. The off roading opportunities are endless, we are going back next year!
Driving through the Sweetwater area to get here already feels like entering another world. The cabin itself is easily the best we’ve ever stayed in—every window frames a view so perfect it feels like a painting. Don’t miss the early morning birdwatching; it’s truly special.
This place is amazing, very quiet and private, great escape from the world. You definitely need a 4x4 in winter to get to the house if it's snowing/wet. The house has a very warm feeling, but has modern amenities. The whole place was amazing and we will be back.
The chalet is sizable yet comfy and cozy with a real mountain/western vibe. The location is exceptionally peaceful and private; at nighttime with an enormous view, there was only one dim light to be seen and that of the property caretaker. On a clear night the sky is filled with stars, meteors, and the milky way. A short drive away is Sweetwater lake and several hikes. Thirty minutes away is the Colorado River and plenty of fishing opportunities. It is a beautiful and serene place. The chalet is clean and the kitchen is well stocked for cooking almost any type of meal, and you will be cooking as there is no grocery or restaurant within 45 minutes. We went for the fall aspen color display and were not disappointed though it should be noted that there are some lumber activities on the property to clear out some dead trees. I would return in a heartbeat.
Absolutely beautiful lodge and area with an incredible view of the mountains. Incredibly spacious home also!
The cabin was the perfect escape! Very peaceful location away from city noise & tourist attractions. The house offered many activities to enjoy without having to drive into town. We very much enjoyed our stay and would come back in a heartbeat!
The cabin is beautiful!! The property is very peaceful and relaxing. This was actually our 2nd time at the cabin and it did not disappoint.
Had an amazing time! Beautiful home.
Beautiful place in the woods! Love how secluded it felt. The log cabin is amazing.
A wonderful private location to get away. The wilderness is amazing. The cabin comfy and warm. Except for the limited snow, which no one can control its awesome. Highly recommend for anyone needing to unhook and just be in nature. You will love it!
A beautiful home and incredible location. We loved staying here!!
This was a beautiful mountain top chalet that worked great for our party of five. The host was great to work with an extremely responsive. Highly recommend!
Gorgeous, peaceful place that I think might actually be better in person than pictures. It’s secluded with a view- just what I was hoping for. Thank you for sharing it with us!
This home is absolutely beautiful - pictures don't do it justice. We saw so much wildlife including cows, deer, buffalo and heard the bull moose calling. Hosts were extremely responsive and quick to address any question we had. Would definitely stay again!
This cabin is in a beautiful location up on the mountain. It sits around 8,800' and has the some really amazing views. Would definitely recommend.
The lodge was amazing, such a cool place! The aspens were beautiful and it was so peaceful. Everything was exactly as described. Ryan and Chris were very responsive to messages. We loved it!
This house was outstanding and beautifully placed among countless trees and wilderness. We saw moose and deer along with the mountains in the distance. We were surprisingly pleased with the amount of amenities that were at the house from name brand shampoo and conditioner/body wash to spices/sugar/oil, laundry detergent and dryer sheets, etc. There was even brand new toothpaste, lotions, Q-tips, cotton balls, etc. The list is endless. It was truly like a home away from home. The only downside to this place is the location. It took at least a half hour to get to the interstate to then get to our destinations. We knew that going into it but the drive is slow, winding, and tight but still doable. Overall, we would return without a doubt especially now that we have the path down pat! It's truly an amazing place.
We've only been home a few hours and already really miss this cabin! It's a dream come true, log inside and out. Everything was perfect- kitchen was stocked with cookware and utensils, beds are comfortable, clean, beautiful inside and out. The kids loved sledding. Board games, plenty of towels, sleds, firewood for the fireplace, lots of blankets, great water pressure in the showers, the list goes on! My favorite is the ambiance at night, and that no matter which window you look out, there's aspen trees. It's very secluded and private. So relaxing. Bring all groceries necessary for your stay and you're set for a perfect getaway. We will be back for sure!
The cabin we stayed in was beautiful. The stay was peaceful and the view was also very pretty. We got there after a long trip and didn’t leave until check-out due to the conditions getting up and down the mountain. If you are visiting during the winter months, getting through the mountain passes (coming from the east) and then back up the mountain to the cabin is not an easy feat. I wouldn’t recommend driving in the dark or with below freezing temps. Even with a 4x4 Jeep + new tires, we ended up stuck as well as sliding down the mountain multiple times. There are no guard rails. Tire chains will come in handy. Our family will be forever grateful for Ryan’s assistance as well as one of his friends to get us down from the mountain safely. It’s also worth nothing that this cabin is tucked away and is a good hour into town where groceries are more expensive than usual. Aside from the awful traveling conditions, the cabin was beautiful and was decently kept w all necessities.
